An epic 4X strategy game in which the player manages a galactic empire in a turn-based system and fights huge battles in real time. The production is the responsibility of the Ntronium Games studio, founded by RT Smith - a true veteran of strategy games, who worked on all parts of the cult Total War series, including being the lead designer on Medieval 2: Total War.

The game begins in the year 2526, when the human civilization, like several others, buys technology from space merchants that allows them to exceed the speed of light, which gives rise to a wild expansion of space. It quickly turns out that the seemingly endless space is too small to accommodate everyone. The player becomes the head of one of the twelve races, with only one task: through trade, diplomacy, technological development and ultimately war, to ensure that his species turns out to be the dominant power in the galaxy.

The management of the space empire takes place in turn-based mode. The basic element of the game is a simplified economic model, which allows the player to make all the important decisions, but at the same time frees him from manual control of the smallest details. The game also offers an extensive diplomacy system that allows for trade, exchange of technology, information, ships and even entire colonies. Diplomatic relations can be peaceful and friendly, but it is also possible to intimidate weaker races. Technological development must not be neglected either. Armada 2526 places great emphasis on the war aspect. Battles fought between huge flotillas are played in real time, and clashes take place both in space and on the surfaces of planets.

The Ntronium Games production offers both single-player and multiplayer modes (Hotseat mode), in which two people can play. It has a clear user interface and simple and functional graphics, which make up for the lack of details with the scale of the events presented. The game also boasts an extensive artificial intelligence system.
