Ego Protocol is a logic-arcade game designed for PC and mobile device users, created by the independent Polish studio Static Dreams. The game took first place in the The Jam competition organized by 1ndieWorld, in which the creators were tasked with preparing a game inspired by the cult Polish classic Electro Body from 1992.
During the game, our goal is to manipulate the environment in such a way as to allow the hero to reach his destination and avoid the dangers lurking along the way. Each of the 45 game boards consists of a dozen or so square blocks, which, like classic puzzles, we can move, paving our character's way to the final teleporter. In addition to directly influencing the environment, during the game we can give the hero simple commands, thanks to which he will overcome traps set for him or deal with enemies.
The game is played at a fairly fast pace and requires a lot of dexterity and reflexes from players, especially since time also counts for the final result, and the difficulty level of the subsequent mazes is quite high. In terms of visuals, Ego Protocol on PC computers features classic two-dimensional graphics, done in gloomy colors, reminiscent of the aforementioned Electro Body.
