FEIST

Feist is a two-dimensional platformer created by independent creators Adrian Stutz and Florian Faller. The title has won numerous awards and distinctions, including being a finalist at the 2009 Independent Games Festival in the category of Excellence in Visual Arts. This is yet another proof that creating an interesting production requires are million-dollar budgets and experienced development studios. Sometimes an idea is enough, in this case almost copied from the competing game Limbo. The graphics were made in a similar style, and the gameplay itself also evokes clear associations. In Feist, we play the role of a small creature, which we move to the right all the time, traversing interestingly designed levels. We observe the lands maintained in a characteristic style from the side, and along the way we meet many

opponents. Direct combat with enemies is one of the few elements that distinguish this title from Limbo. The main character throws various objects at hostile creatures, and also hits them with an ordinary stick, while maintaining an appropriate distance. Physics plays a significant role, and we often use the laws of physics. Sometimes we have to drag an object to another place, and other times under under the influence of the weight of the felled tree lying on the edge of the crevice. The setting has been developed in a specific style, well known to fans of the platformer Limbo. So we are dealing with two-dimensional graphics, where individual elements of the environment are merely outlines of objects painted black. We are dealing with more refined backgrounds, boasting a slightly larger color palette. During the game, we hear calm music, which does not impose itself too much on the player, providing a very good background for the events taking place.
