Moebius is an adventure game using a traditional point-n-click interface. The game was designed by Jane Jensen, the author of games such as King's Quest VI: Heir Today, Gone Tomorrow, Gray Matter and, above all, the cult Gabriel Knight series.

We play as a man named Malachi Rector, who runs an antique shop in Manhattan. A few years ago, eccentric rich people began using his services. Since then, the hero has been traveling the world and finding old and exceptionally valuable items for well-paying customers. The game begins when Rector's shop is consumed by fire, and he is soon employed by millionaire Amble Dexter. In exchange for a large salary, Malachi is to investigate a series of seemingly unrelated events, and then present his employer with detailed documentation of his own investigation.

The hero begins his task by looking into the death of a young girl living in Venice, whose body was found hanging from one of the local bridges. Rector begins investigating and learns that the victim had no real enemies. No motive for the murder can be identified either. Further investigation, however, leads to the discovery that the murder had a hidden meaning, as did the other events that Amber Dexter had commissioned him to investigate. Rector begins to understand that everything is part of a larger plan to influence the forces that govern all life on Earth. Malachi will have to discover the motives of the people behind it and decide whether he wants to play the role entrusted to him or try to change the course of this story.

Moebius is a traditional adventure game, so we spend most of our time exploring locations, conducting conversations, collecting items, and solving puzzles. The game offers two modes of play - adventure and casual. The first one corresponds to traditional productions of this genre. The second mode is much easier. In it, we can use an extensive hint system and highlight important points in each location. The interface will also be significantly simplified.

Moebius' strong point is the graphics, where all elements, both backgrounds and characters, are entirely two-dimensional. During our adventures, we are accompanied by atmospheric music by Robert Holmes, the composer of the soundtrack from the first two installments of the Gabriel Knight series. The game also features several songs performed by the band The Scarlet Furies.
